EdK Run

Register today for the Chambersburg Y's EdK Memorial 5K Run and 1K Fun Run, held on the first Sunday in October! This annual race was created by the Sponseller Family in 2018 as a tribute to Ed Sponseller, who lost his 11-year battle with Lymphoma in 2017. Join us in honoring Ed and his love for running... any age, any distance.  

We encourage everyone – regardless of age or fitness level – to participate in this 5K walk/run race, not only to celebrate Ed’s passion for running, but to support the LiveSTRONG Program at the Y. All proceeds from the EdK will support the YMCA’s cancer survivor program, LiveSTRONG at the Y, which is designed to assist cancer survivors in reclaiming their health and enhancing their quality of life through a 12-week fitness program.
