CHAMBERSBURG - The Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter will hold their Easter Hound Hunt at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 29, at the shelter at 5051 Letterkenny Road West.
Registration will be at 1 p.m. or prior to the event at cvas-pets.org.
Thousands of plastic Easter eggs will be stuffed with dog treats and participants are asked to bring their dogs on a leash for the hunt. Eggs with tickets inside can be redeemed for prizes. Two separate hunt locations will be available for small and large dogs.
Cost for participation is a minimum $5 donation to the shelter.
Following the hunt, the shelter will hold an Easter bonnet contest. Prizes will be awarded.
Easter photos will also be taken by donation and the Easter Bunny will be at the event as well.
